Tick Tock
Holy mother of fuck, Christmas is just a week away! I knew it would happen--I posted about it just a few days ago. Actually, I guess it was two weeks ago. How the hell did that happen? I haven't really DONE much of anything those two weeks. I've been mostly hibernating at work, just watching our website kick ass (yeah, that's my code makin' big money out there) and reading Wikipedia. Of course, days like the last few make me wish the time would fly by--all this freakin' snow and ice, who needs it?
But I don't like the idea of constantly waiting for time to move on and get to the next thing. Doesn't seem very much like living in the moment. Last night we slowed down for a few hours--lit a nice fire, made a yummy dinner, drank a bottle of wine and played with the dogs. I need to remember to do that more and not just wait for the day to end and the next one to get here.
I'm planning to spend the entire day today in bed, watching homeowner porn (HGTV and TLC), listening to the schnauzer bark at the squirrels in the yard, and savoring the fact that I'm not sitting in my office.

If only I could pay the cable company to give me HGTV and the Food Network (got to have my RR fix). Life would be sweet (and less expensive).
Even though I have this retail stuff coursing through me, I have been in major denial that Christmas is nearly a week away. I need to get on some kind of Christmas ball!
You know, I want to say that every time I come here and read some little mention of day to day that hints at the life you guys share, I think how lucky you two are. I'm sure you know that, but I wanted to say how charmed life seems when I read ya!
